After one must have lived a dramatic life, with its many ups and too many downs. A life in this unfair world, it will come to an unavoidable end. An end most do not want.
Then what is the purpose of living in the first place?
I have ponders this question for quite a while, then I seek for answers as I could not come to a satisfactory conclusion.
Of course I usually run to my elderly friends for answers but this time I felt I still have to look somewhere else for a satisfactory answer.
After a long and separate discussion with each of my elderly friends, a number of answers about the purpose of life on earth includes;
1 To know, serve, and love God and also to love your neighbours.
2 From dust to dust, ashes to ashes
3 To be happy and serving God with our whole soul
4 To multiply and fill the earth.
5 To live for God's glory and pleasure
6 To live a meaningful life
7 Fear the true Hod and keep his commandments
8 Living up to ones destiny
9 To always grab the opportunity to always do hood to others
10 To make great impact to other peoples life
And the list continues.
At some point I asked " what about the life of animals like butterflies, fishes, ants, worms, lions, antelope, vultures, and all that?"
And some of the answers I get includes
1 They are there to make life beautiful
2 Every creatures has it's purpose and functions
3 They are created to balance the ecosystems
And so on.
What is the purpose of living in the first place since the life will terminate in the nearest future, and I was told that the purpose in this case is to make your impact and leave.
Checking through sources showed that man has been trying to answer same question and more for ages, and different attempts from diverse cultures has been provided
But, then, I found more curious questions instead of the answers I was looking for
Why are we here?
What i s the value if life?
What is the origin of life?
What are we here for?
And so on.
More questions than answers, for now, since life sometimes can be really unfair where we cannot get what we seek, I can accept that the purpose of life is to live a happy life with much love from families & friends and also helping others to live a happy life as well.
