A plane carrying Evgeny Prigozhin and 9 others is reported to have crashed in the Tver region. As is my wont, I have not verified or sought further information yet, but bring the report to your attention so you can do due diligence yourself.
Many people predicted that Putin could not allow Prigozhin to live after the March on Moscow. I suspected Putin and Prigozhin were in cahoots on that aborted rebellion, that was intended to rout disloyal RF troops, and did produce multiple dismissals of military leadership shortly afterwards. However, it seems folks predicting Prigozhin's demise may well have been right.
Per 's recommendation, I had a look on Sputnik.
"An Embraer Legacy business jet with three crew members and seven passengers aboard crashed in Russia's Tver Region while en route to St. Petersburg from Moscow earlier on Wednesday.
"PMC Wagner boss and businessman Evgeny Prigozhin was aboard the aircraft that crashed Wednesday near a village about 300 kilometers away from Moscow, according to the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency."
For anyone interested, there's video on the Sputnik site claimed to be the crash. Looks like something dramatically disabled the aircraft in midair, and arrested it's forward progress completely, and it fell directly down to the ground leaving a trail of steam or smoke.
