In recent years Americans have been increasingly discomfited by censorship, and we have discovered the US government, despite the direct prohibition of it in the Constitution, has been censoring the speech of Americans. That is actually treason, a capital crime punishable by death, yet it apparently was undertaken by USG employees with malice aforethought, and we have been provided proof of these crimes in copious quantities by the Elon in the files released by Twatter after he purchased it.
The politicization of the DOJ and it's subsidiary agency chartered to enforce federal laws, the FBI, were two of the means used to commit that treason, and are unsurprisingly reticent to prosecute the crimes it has itself been party to committing. The question has to be asked: can the US even prosecute treason anymore? Or has the criminal infiltration of American government been so complete that it has been wholly and irreversibly corrupted and become diametrically opposed to the purposes of Constitutional government it is funded to enable?
It is widely understood by many today that our public school education, one of the highest purposes of civil society, has become little more than ideological indoctrination, and our formerly vaunted 'free press', nothing more than lapdogs parroting the propaganda spooks have designed to mislead us. These evil people seek to prevent us from being competent to rule ourselves, as our forefathers fought and died to enable us to do, and the Constitution was written to ensure.
Do you have a right to the truth? Or can you lawfully be enslaved by fooling you so badly you will vote to subjugate yourself to your enemies?
According to the Constitution, we have a right to not be lied to by the US government, and to speak freely without being censored by the government. That is stated frequently to be necessary for the sovereign rights of Americans to be fulfilled, secured, and enabled so that they can justly rule themselves. Clearly if we are misled to what is actually ongoing we will not be competent to rule wisely, and if we are misled to misunderstand in order to cause us to misrule in specific ways that empower and profit our traitorous enemies domestic, that commit treason to do so, we have been enslaved just as much as if we had been forced into a cage at gunpoint.
We have been told that a free press and free speech is necessary to just rule, and I cannot disagree with the statements that assert that being well informed, rather than deceived and tricked, is fundamental to our right to rule, and ability to rule wisely.

@MakiaFreeman has published a brief <15 minute video that well expresses the idea that perceptual sovereignty, the right to know the truth, to perception of actual reality, is necessary in order for free people to rule that real world. That underlies our ability to rule ourselves, exactly as it does every other democratic republic. Without the right to learn the truth, the right to not be misled, indoctrinated and fooled with propaganda, we cannot actually exercise our sovereignty. We become enslaved by lies into captivity of misunderstanding, and might even act against our interests, should we have been tricked by traitors so that by lying to us they might as well be locking us in cages. The bars of cages and the bars of deception both equally deprive us of our freedom to rule justly.
Until just government purges from it's ranks the traitors, we ourselves have to secure our perceptual sovereignty as best we can. We can avoid listening to those we know have proved they are liars by lying to us. Once you know someone is willing to lie it is necessary to exclude what they have to say from your consideration. If you spend your time considering lies, you are being prevented from considering the truth, and truth is what you need to rule wisely. Don't pay liars any mind at all.
That's the first step in attaining perceptual freedom, and towards perceptual sovereignty. @MakiaFreeman very well expresses and discusses it. Please take the time to watch the video linked above.
