Have you guys ever heard of Heterochromia? It’s when your iris has too much or too little melanin. Pretty much that means that you end up with different coloured eyes. And this happens due to a genetic mutation.
It’s estimated that one percent of the population has it. And that 1% includes me.
I’ve been called Husky sooo many times, which I don’t mind actually. :)
A lot of people also tell me it’s like David Bowie’s, but interesting side note here: he actually did not have different coloured eyes, but different sized pupils, due to a fight when he was a kid. Poor David must have gotten punched real bad.
Back to us: it's funny how often the pictures taken of me at jobs get photoshopped. Whenever I look at them I don't recognise myself. I don't want to have blue eyes. Or brown eyes. Nor green! I want them all!!!!
It's also happened that it ends up giving a weird optical illusion, where the blue eye seems bigger than the brown one.. So I had to train myself to squinch one a little more than the other.. Modelling is not that easy, there's a lot to put into once you're in front of the camera.. Can you think about it? Every inch of me is strategically put in the most photogenic way (at least I try) AND THEN I ALSO GOTTA SQUINCH A FREAKING EYE?? hahaha
Besides that, I'm also pretty "blind", so I have to wear contact lenses, and a lot of people ask me if they are actually coloured, and if one has fallen off or something.. hahaha
-No, guys they are clear, my eyes REALLY are like that!
So yes, this is my "flaw", my "weirdness", my genetical "mistake", AND I LOVE IT!
what do you guys think? What are yours? DO they make you insecure or have you learned to love them?
