Today was one of those days that others might describe as not very productive. But how important is productivity actually? Does it make us happy?
I meditated, read a lot ( mainly about the law of attraction ). Just rereading ebooks on this topic makes me feel good. I chatted a little on discord with fellow Steemians. I made sure to enjoy my food and drinks as well as the late summer air, sun and shadow. I enjoyed the insects flying around. Although, I must admit, it's still somewhat hard to enjoy nosy wasps, as well as flies. I have to work on that, I guess.
And then, just after lunch, I went onto a voice chat with the awesome and
Inuke said he had only 5 minutes to spare but ended up listening to whatamidoing and I and got back to us later to talk some more. As is often the case with us guys, we spoke about all kinds of subjects. There were so many meaningful things being said that I don't know where to start. But, you know what, that's not what this post is about.
I just wanted to talk about the importance of talking with friends. Chatting with like minded people, who seem to understand you. Talking to friends instead of colleagues or family. Preferably people who don't judge you for who you are. Who accept you for just being you. Who challenge you to be an even better version of yourself.
We talked for two and a half hour. And afterwards, I wanted to drink and piss at the same time. I didn't do that though, even though I saw it being done in a movie by a fat old guy. He drank a can of beer and managed to empty it before he finished peeing. I think it was a movie by Larry Clark. Not that it matters. I'm not a fat old guy and I drank a glass of water, after peeing but that isn't the point I want to make.
Less is More
We all know that there's more in life than productivity. I am getting better and better in doing less. In fact, I spend more and more time doing less, by merely focusing on prioritizing whatever makes me feel good. Talking to these friends makes me feel good and that's what it's all about, in the end.
I hope you do the same, whenever you can. That you prioritize whatever makes you happy, as much as you can. We have been put on this earth to feel good. That is what being aligned means. It's all about following your vibration. If you don't feel good, whatever you're doing isn't aligned with what you feel like doing or where you want to go.
Anyhow, I think I rambled enough for today. If you're interested in finding out more about the things that I'm hinting at, you might want to dive into the Law of Attraction. It has done me a lot of good.
If you could only do a handful of things per day, what would you focus on? I would love to hear your answer
