Every second is of infinite value." - Johnn Wolfgang Von Goethe
Your time is priced at whatever you value your time at.
At my day job I work for $15 / hour. During those 8 hours I work Monday - Friday 7 AM - 3 PM. That's my priced in value during those specific days & hours of the day. I can't change that value so that's just "it is what it is".
However,
During the rest of the hours of the day I value them differently because I only have a limited amount of hours before I need to be back in bed to get ready for the next work day. From 3 PM - 10 PM this time is priceless. I couldn't put a specific value on this time as this is when I get things done around my home. This is the time where I teach myself how to cook better meals, read my blockchain books, spend time with my friends & family, get to the gym to continue to live a healthy life in hopes to extend it by a decade or 2. I don't want to work over time at work. I don't want the few hours on a weekday to be wasted doing something I do not want to do, or having my time wasted by someone else deliberately or not.
I have a watch & sometimes I feel that I'm just counting down until time is up for enjoyment. It's then back to work to count down again until I'm out. Then... Back to counting down until bed time.
Boy... I need a vacation.
My point is. As this chapter states. Only you can assign value to your time. Besides your working job which pays x amount / hour, outside of that what do you value your time at? Is there a value you could provide or is is priceless?
