After a long time of not seeing my dog, I finally got to see him yesterday.
He had been staying with my parents for some time now since they have much more room (and time) for him.
However, when I walked in the door, he nearly tackled me with excitement. He was barking and whining (in a good way), and licking me like crazy.
It was exactly the kind of reaction I was hoping to get from him after not seeing him for a few weeks.
It is amazing how quickly they can change our moods.
No matter how bad my day was or how down I might be, my dog has a way of changing everything by just being so overly happy to see me.
It reminds me that to him, I am everything.
"To the world we might not mean much, but to some we are the world."
Sorry for the cheesy quote, but I just had to get it in there because it is so true in this instance. :)
No matter how terrible we are to them, they still love us unconditionally.
In fact, one of my greatest requests in life is to learn to love like my dog does. It is truly an impressive feat to behold.
I truly aspire to be the person that my dog thinks me to be!
