I have long since grown tired of aircooling, primarily because of the dust. It gets everywhere and to completely clean those heatsinks, you need to remove the fans, meaning you have to switch the whole thing off first. Things are even more difficult when you have to deal with dust inside the PC case because you first need to dismantle half of it, if you are in for some serious cleaning.
That's why I switched to watercooling - dust accumulates only on the front side of radiators and those can be cleaned in 5 seconds with a simple vacuum cleaner. There is no down time and no need to dismantle anything. I've had watercooled machines running for more than TWO YEARS without ANY maintenance, except vacuuming a radiator every two weeks or so.
