Be careful who you go to for energy and/or emotional healing. For a practitioner to be a conduit for Divinity they must be in touch with their own. If this is not the case they project on to you their emotional and physical issues and you hold them in your body-mind. It is often unconscious to the practitioner.
Energy healing requires a degree of personal evolution and development. For this reason initiates in ages gone by took training for many years before practicing and had highly evolved mentors. Indeed, in Egypt there were always partners in a healing session to balance the yin and yang.
Unless the individual you seek help from understands that energy healing is not benign and following a script in this space cannot be as everyone is a work of art and is to be cherished then do not embark on any 'healing' with this individual. For you and your animals.
Energy healing requires that the practitioner is in Grace and Divinity, they are to be connected to their truth and live it. If they have too much drama around them then you know there is too much noise in their fields for this to be possible (energetic hygiene is lacking and they are not working through their own traumas).
Also if the individual uses techniques that fuse your consciousness with that of the perpetrator of abuse to understand them better walk away - I have seen so many that use this and it cements the trauma more deeply and the wounding creates more problems for the individual. Yes this really does happen. If they understood trauma on any level this is unconscionable.
I share this because I want people to know that energy healing when used appropriately by a diligent, heart centered individual in their Divinity is powerful and it is important to choose your practitioner wisely. Energy healing is not benign. If done incorrectly it can harm. This goes for emotional healing also.
Take heed, follow your intuition - if you have a doubt or it feels off you know your answer.
Energy and emotional healing is a sacred practice and should be honored as such.
