So, the madness of Christmas is starting soon if not yet. Staying in small mountain's village of Peru, I don't feel it, but the fact that it is winter already, got be wondering.
So Christmas is coming to town, but I am not going to be present...
“But, Writingamigo, it is a family holiday. You MUST spend it with your family, sitting miserably at the dinner table, seeing each other for the first time after some old grandpa’s funeral, and hating each other’s values. That is what Christmas and other family holidays are all about."
“And also, spend all the money you don’t have, buying gifts that nobody needs.”
Yes, I see those huge holidays just like that. Why? Because so many times I hear that people don’t like to meet their family, and do it only out of necessity to have a nice photo for Instagram. Plain stupid, isn’t it?
If question arises, I love my family way more than I could love anything else! That is why I am not being Grinch here, even contrary, before all the holiday madness starts, and makes you forget what is important; I want to be the first one to wish everyone that we would love our families and talk to them, during the whole year. And not because it is necessary, but because it feels good.
Don't let those shiny and shimmering things to take over control!
This Christmas and forever, remember actual joy of being surrounded by beloved ones.
P.S. I might be talking like that just because after all the travels I own debts, but not money haha. However, it still remains the truth.
