As the time I am writing, I have $14,644 in debt. Comparing to $38,000 in this April, it is a great progress.
For the lessons I learnt along the way, I can say as follows:
- Cut up the credit card and promise never crank up any more debt
- Sell stuff. This reboots the spending system. I sold my luxury lv handbags and anything valuable in the house.
- Make a budget. Use envelope system. If anyone is interested in envelope system, I will write a post about it. If the budget is done, the spending is done.
- Spend cash on anything possible. Cash spending activates the pain center of the brain. So you automatically spend less.
- Work the ass off!!!!!!
- Squeeze every dollar that is not spent into debt.
And, that's how I paid off $23,000 in 8 months....And those habits are lifetime keepers.
