No one likes falling sick. Good health is the biggest asset of every being. Unfortunately, I fell sick with high fever, unbearable cold and pinching head-ache. But fortunately, it didn't turn too worse so far.
I was lying in my bed entire day, today. This was the first day since I joined Steemit that I didn't touch my computer.
Recently, SBD price hike gave me enough money to buy my life's first smart phone. I wanted to invest in a good phone to take some time away from my PC. But I didn't know what to buy.
I had taken my biggest inspiration from who became a dolphin by blogging all the way on her Honor mobile ...yes, she never ever touched any desktop or laptop. I used to wonder about it. Her son
is an experienced techie who had bought her that marvel. So I thought that this should be the best choice for me too. But then I got confused as that phone had several models in the market. Then my friend
suggested to go for a bigger screen phone viz. OnePlus 5T. So I purchased it and don't regret it. But since this Christmas, when this phone has arrived, I couldn't find any time to put my hands on it.
Today, being in bed, I started experimenting with it. So I downloaded several apps to access Steem blockchain like eSteem, steepshot, zappl etc. I tried and found this eSteem app amazing. It is a feature packed application with an easy to use interface. What else, compared to apps like zappl, dmentia, chainbb who takes a 15% or more cut from the author reward, eSteem takes a meagre share of only 5% while providing excellent features. So this is my first post from eSteem while taking complete rest in my bed. Isn't it a blessing in disguise?
However, I'm still learning to use my mobile. Just a few moments back, I even tried clicking a few pictures. I'd like to include some of them here to see if I can do that successfully.
So here's the background about these pictures.
For over 3 years now, I had made it a point to not to eat my meals after Sunset. I don't have any strong reasons to do that but I do it anyway. I've found mentions in several scriptures of Hinduism, Buddhism & Jainism directing their disciples to not to eat after sun down. Not that, I follow any of these religions but I cherry pick on some of their principles whichever I like. 😊
Since I generally don't consume any allopathic medicines, my mother today prepared an Ayurvedic syrup by boiling Giloya twigs, ginger, black pepper and some jaggery to control my rising body temperature. Although she had started preparing it before Sunset, she got little late as boiling it takes at least an hour. So she advised me to drink that syrup late in the night when I sleep. And I gave in to her request.
This was quite a big event in my life. So I thought to take its photographs 😜.
Here you go:
Here's one more, with the time display in my old mobile phone as an evidence that I consumed this syrup in night:
Thank you all of you for reading until the end!
Good Night!
...and if this post really makes it to you, please don't forget to congratulate me for successfully using my phone and 's awesome eSteem app..
