We had been on a family vacation in Miami for a week. The hotel we were staying at was on Miami Beach and it was a nice getaway. We were able to meet Trevon and his baby boy. We decided to go to a different hotel off the beach after our week there. Unfortunately, when we arrived our room wasn't ready yet. The hotel had a mall inside so we knew we could spend some time there.
After walking around for a little, we ended up a taco restaurant. When we sat down we were surprised to see that the menu was a tablet. We soon realized that the whole hotel was filled with technology at every corner. Once we left the restaurant, our room was ready for us. We hopped on the elevator and instead of physical buttons, it had touchscreen to select levels. We arrived at our room, unlocked the door and made our way in. We were taken back by how nice the room was when we saw it. All the controls for lights and electronics had touch pads in place of switches.
When we opened the blinds, we discovered the amazing view. Both of our bedrooms featured views of the city to our delight. From the living room, we could go out to our own balcony as well.

(NIGHT)
We spent some time gazing at the skyline and were amazed by the people cleaning the sides. They were very courageous to work from such great heights on a small scaffolding.
We went back inside to check out the rest of the room. It was very spacious for all of us. The room had two separate bedrooms with full bathrooms, a living room with a desk area, and a full kitchen with a dining area. It also featured a washer and dryer, a wine cooler, and a full fridge stocked with beverages.
Once we settled in, we decided to go see a movie. We found a theater nearby and we were on our way. The only way to buy tickets here was to download an app onto my phone. We didn't know what to expect when we entered. Getting out tickets at the theater just required printing from a machine. Also, to our surprise it was a dine in movie theater. When we got to our seats we made another discovery, the seats were all recliners. It was an amazing experience. I felt like I was watching a movie and eating dinner in bed.
Everyone was happy after the movie and we returned to the hotel. We were all impressed with how much technology was everywhere here. I realized how much I was missing in technology by living in a small town. Being technologically savvy made it easy for us to mange everything but it could be too complicated for others to comprehend. I felt like we were in Tokyo with all the advanced technology around us.
