Nevermind the 9 to 5 job. If there is the fact that you work such a shift is your excuse that you cannot post of Steemit then you do not want it enough. Steemit is growing and I believe that it will do so until it overtakes and replaces the likes of Facebook, Youtube and other Social Media that are controlled by corporations that support the content of corporations and that censor or moderate the real life content that real people are posting.
Sure some of those platforms had their days and had a good time and we all had fun learning to build communities online, but it is time to step into a platform where it matters a bit more. Where you tokenize the content and interactions on the Social Platform and reap rewards of posting and curating good content.
That said, if you want to stick out of the crowd that is growing and growing you need to do the following things first and foremost:
- Post regularly. Nobody will see your once a month post. If you pitch up regularly then you will be noticed.
- Post quality. Don't be a cheapscate and put some effort into your post. How will you be remembered if you can't show people a good time?
There are actually many more great tips and tricks that I have learned. The following is possibly even more important:
- Help out other Steemians. Steemit is really great for the reason that if my buddies do well then I do well. I support them, they support me and together we grow. Help people build a following. Give honest comment on what to do better. Help out on Discord chat and keep learning.
Today you may be the student, tomorrow you will be the teacher.
That said, the student can sometimes teach something new to the Master. Or give the Master new ideas by thinking in a new way.
Steemit is truly an interesting and thought-thriving place.
All that said, let me talk to you about work for a little.... or let me rant a little.
This is me. As you can see from my face, I am very happy and impressed to be here on this site after dark. 15 hours is not a joke and we can all say that yes you get payed for it, I can also say that I am not a machine where money is used as oil lubricant.
To be able to perform in this environment you need to be able to compartmentalize your life into stages throughout the day. At least that is what I do and that is probably why I am the Manager and the Health and Safety on the team. I teach what I think to the others though and those that listen will grow and those that do not will not grow. Once again it is by the effort that is put into the work that will result in a difference in their life.
This leads to a very important life lesson:
If you are all half-arsed and fake in real life, then you are likely to be half-arsed and fake on Steemit. And vice versa.
It comes down to another lesson:
You become good at whatever you practice.
I will be doing more expansive posts on these in the future and I think that people can really benefit from them. It doesn't matter if they don't read this post. I wrote it and read it and it helps to keep myself focused on the tasks before me.
I read a statement on 's Journal:
"This post series is about my life and will be written like my logbook. I will tell you everyday what I am do and why I do it. I do not write it for money, but for motivating myself every day to achieve my goals. I keep it as transparent as possible because I do not want to fail or embarass myself in front of all SteemIt-Users. Nobody likes it to fail and this logbook will prevent me from being lazy or lacking motivation. It will push me to continue with my hard work and get things done. Selfimprovement is the keyword and I will do it every day!"
This is a good ethic. He shows you the purpose of the post. It is for keeping record, publicly announcing his goals to keep himself on track and writing about self improvement every day. He wants to progress and looking for something to put into this post will MAKE that happen!
Also as a side note: "I do not write it for money." Yes the post is still open to upvotes but I would never give criticism for that. If I liked the things he says in his Journal post then it is my CHOICE to hit that upvote button. 31 people hit the last one so I cannot be the only one!
We might not need to do self improvement for money but money is a by-product of success on Steemit and the byproduct of your support!
Here is a grungy, almost Steampunk time environment that my guys were working in earlier today. Looks cool, but there is so much going on in this picture and it is a tiny fraction of what really goes on in this ship.
More to follow on the project in an upcoming post.
Until next time,
Regards
