Less Ego, More Humility. Learning How to Take Actions From an Ego-free Decision Process.
In this passage I am going to be speaking about ego, humility, how humility overcomes ego in the long-term and you can make decisions that are based on humility instead of ego in order to better your chances of success in the future and not the short-term success that is eventually going to fade away.
Ego:
Ego is something that everybody on the earth has, even if can somehow get rid of it, it will eventually come back naturally when you work and do other things. It is good to have an ego and it is good to use your ego as they can provide you with lots of motivation that allow you to keep working even in the tough times, however, you DO NOT want your ego to use you. Read below to find out how you can prevent that.
Humility:
Humility is the ability to realize that you are not much of an importance, whether you do or don't doesn't really matter. This should not be seen as a good thing but actually, a positive thing, people with larger humility tend to live happier lives for the long-term because they are not constantly trying to prove themselves to somebody due to their ego. Having more humility will increase your chances of success if you can do it correctly.
Humility > Ego:
Humility is more powerful the ego, people with very large egos always usually tend to be generally unhappier than the person with a high degree of humility. However, you need a combination of using both of these, if you can have an ego and have a large humility at the same time you will do very well.
Learning to make decisions and actions from an ego-free space to better your future:
Are you making that decision just to impress your friends? Are you making that decision just to impress your girlfriend? Are you making that decision just to impress your wife? Are you making that decision just to make yourself look better? Are you making that decision just to increase your ego even more?
All of the above questions are ones that you should be asking yourself and wondering whether that is what you are doing, if so, at that point you have the chance to change that and realise whether that decision is going to help you for the long-term or just make you look good in the short term but in trade for that damage your future. Your choice.
