Just hoping it's not just that echo chamber of 4 enclosed walls closing in while the water rises to a bottemless top. So I found another video helping my mind. It's Sepultura - Phantom Self! The imagery of the video is good. Zombie apocalypse of people clinging to smart-phones. It had a note to the creepyness of trans-humanism. As well I got the impression the video expressed the chaos of technologies reaching foreign cultures and the adverse social effects on those cultures. Western culture doesn't even understand the physiological and social effects of all these technologies. I read Marshall McLuhan who wrote books in the 50's and 60's about the effects of the printing press and television. He predicted the internet in many ways. About the homogenising effect of mass technologies. We are going back to a form of tribalism through mass media. The world is shrinking. What effects is all this having on life as we know and how we experience it? My mom with schizophrenia would bug-out about microchips in the human body so I really like this Sepultura video. My mom wasn't crazy at all, just very scared. Even though she didn't have to be THAT scared she was right too.
Facing your Phantom Self is a real thing! I've been going good between thrash and industrial. They are all getting into the same material. I think it's metal ripping off industrial and its industrial that takes everyone elses stuff and makes it better yet is completely original too inventing new sounds. It's cause my mom dealt with all the same fears and creepy morbid stuff as is staple content for those genres. Someone mentioned the goblin voices of some death metal and industrial and I do understand some of it. I understand goblin in industrial more than metal.
