I used to hate that sound. The alarm clock that forced me out of bed like a boot camp whistle. I don’t use it now. We broke up, and I don’t miss it. These days, I wake up when I’m ready—or when the sunlight says good morning.
Not everyone gets to slow down, I know that. But I’m grateful for this quiet gap in my life. No alarms. Just me and the day, starting on our own terms. Sometimes freedom is just waking up without a beep.
