Basically, this is my life Mantra, this is from Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I've been using this mantra for 8 years now.
It all started when we had our last INTRAMURALS in high school. I came across this verse when I had my morning devotion before the competition. I just really felt my tired body(Imagine that 3 straight weeks of practice. And when I was remembering those moments, I just can't help but to wonder where in the world did I get that strength from? But God is really powerful, He gave me that incredible strength HAHAHA!) and thus, I just asked the Lord for strength. And timely, this was God's provision, Philippians 4:13. I was really calmed and refreshed. SUPER! During the competition, I really felt nervous because I might forget the sequence of our yells, I might not meet the expectation of my teachers and co-students, I might commit mistake in the routine and all. But then, I was reminded again of the verse I held from my morning's devotion and from there and then, I was completely comforted and empowered again. To cut the long story short, We were the declared OVER-ALL Champion and I was hailed as the BEST CHEERLEADER. Yahoooo! Glory to God. See how amazing our God is, I just asked strength from Him and yet, God gave me more than what I just prayed. All Glory to God! Until now, I am using this verse to remind my physical, spiritual and emotional self to calm down because God will forever sustain me no matter what. I just need to believe the power of the Holy spirit. God bless you all!
