Hello everyone who watches my blog! 😄😁
Sorry to drop out, now is a difficult but interesting period of my life. Big changes are coming. But more about that later.🤗
Today I want to show you the moment when I made my first acquaintances in Germany.
In order to integrate the Ukrainians, the mayor of the city sent letters of invitation to everyone by mail. The point was to introduce the Germans and Ukrainians, to exchange cultures. It was a very cool idea. Because I had no idea how to get to know someone, and my native language was not enough for me. +I did not yet know how the Germans would perceive us.
When we arrived, we immediately saw an area with tables, there were yellow and blue ribbons around. We were given glasses of lemonade.
The meeting took place in the Wild Park. This is a landmark in Warstein.
What do I want to say?
The wild animal park is located in the beautiful nature with meadows and forest, ideal place for animals who live here.
When walking this well maintained animal park you can hardly believe its entrance is free. The animal enclosures are all spacious and set in natural surroundings. Especially the lynxes are incredibly beautiful and the setting of the cage with a high viewpoint allows for good photography of these rare and majestic animals.
While we were waiting for everyone, we began to get to know each other. I remember this feeling. Familiar speech, familiar faces, emotions. Honestly? I wanted to hug everyone and this feeling was not only with me. I never thought that I would be so happy with strangers.
When everyone gathered, the mayor of the city (a positive man in a green sweater) called an interpreter and began his address. He sympathized, said that he would try to arrange various events for us so that we would feel comfortable. And you know what? He kept his word.
Then he said that we were waiting for a tour of the park and caves. After that, we will again gather near the tables, beer, coffee, sausages will be waiting for us, and he will tell us what will happen.
I'll just post the pictures I took. But I didn’t take a lot of pictures, because I talked a lot and just didn’t have time. You know, it was again strange sensations. Because I have lost the habit of walking and not being nervous that something will explode somewhere. I still can't get used to airplanes.
She saw a dog near the cage and began to hunt. It was scary and interesting. 😱
The caves were also very interesting, we were told that there used to be an ocean in these places and these crusts were under water and the caves were washed out for years. Then people lived in them and in some places you can see drawings.
Then we sat for a long time and talked, ate, drank and laughed. Many Ukrainians, like me, lived in eastern Ukraine and lost their homes. We did not talk about these topics, but we understood each other.
Then the mayor said that you can try yourself in trial German courses. I decided that I would try.
So on that day I met new acquaintances with whom I now go to the Integration Courses to study German (this was the next decision). 😏🏠
