I have a very dry skin type and as the weather has been cold and dry I've been making sure to keep a very hydrating skin and hair care routine, I have a morning and nighttime skincare routine as well as weekly face masks. I wash my hair 2 times a week and do hair masks before washing my hair and use hydrating hair oils.
My hair type is more wavy and thick, it tangles very easily so I use products for my hair type.
My morning routine:
The first thing I do in the morning is brushing my teeth and tongue, then I cleanse with the Cerave hydrating cleanser.
I then apply my hyaluronic acid and aloe toner with a cotton ball, once my face is dry I apply Cerave moisturizing cream with my jade roller (which is normally cold so feels refreshing).
Then I apply my hyaluronic and vitamin serum with my jade gua sha until all the serum is absorbed into my skin.
The last thing I do is apply my watermelon kiwi lip scrub and a lip balm, if I'm going outside I will apply my sun bum sunscreen face stick.
My Nighttime routine
At the end of the day before bed, I'll cleanse again with my cerave hydrating cleanser, and then after double cleanse with my milk cleansing foam. I double cleanse as all the dirt buildup over the day on my skin or if I decide to wear makeup(which is not often).
I'll use my hyaluronic acid and aloe toner with a cotton ball again, once dry I'll apply the cerave moisturizing cream and hyaluronic and vitamin serum.
I'll then put on my blueberry and cica sleep lip mask and if my skin is feeling dry I will use my overnight hydrating sleep mask, when I use it when I wake up my skin feels so refreshed.
The last thing I do is brush my curl lotion through my hair and then put my hair in a bun with a scrunchie to protect my hair while I sleep, I also sleep on a silk pillowcase.
My weekly skincare:
2 times a week I will use a facemask and these have been the ones I've been using, the snail mask is my favorite one. I will also sometimes make my own with bentonite clay.
Once I take the face mask off I will use my jade roller or gua sha to help my skin absorb the serum from the mask.
Once a week I'll use the eyebrow razor to fix up my eyebrows and shave my lip hairs, every few weeks ill-use aloe gel on my face and shave my baby hairs off my face.
My weekly hair care:
2 times a week I wash my hair with Aussie miracle moist avocado oil shampoo and conditioner, I mix the amla hair oil in my shampoo when washing.
Once a week I use the hot oil hair mask, you run it through your hair and then wrap your hair in a hot towel (it's so relaxing) and then wash it out with water, I do this to help add moisture to my hair.
I use a Nupur henna hair mask that you leave in for 3-4 hours every few weeks to dye my hair.
Every day I will add the thickening leave-in sprays, replenishing water spray or hair and root strengthener to my hair.
I try my best to follow this routine each week but as life happens sometimes I miss a day of skincare or only do my night or morning routine but consistently doing this has made my skin glowing and clear and my hair healthy, smooth, and growing lots!
