The cabinet has approved the proposal for ratification of the second amendment to the Asia-Pacific Trade Treaty (APA). This will result in the increase in the tariff of more than double Bangladeshi products in the respective countries.
The approval was given at a regular meeting of the cabinet held in the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the Parliament House on Monday.
Cabinet Secretary (Reform and Coordination) NM Ziaul Alam said this information in the briefing at the secretariat after the meeting. He said that so many days 4 thousand 648 customized goods were available in Bangladesh. Now tariffs of 10 thousand 677 products will be available. Of these, 3,381 people from India, 2,027 from China, and 3,757 goods from South Korea can get the customs duty. At present there are seven countries.
In addition, the policy approval was given to Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute Act, 2017.
