HERE ARE 7 WAYS TO HANDLE STRESS
1. WHERE IS THE STRESS COMING FROM?
Have you ever heard the phrase "I am angry but i don't even know why?" You can't handle your stress if you don't know exactly what's stressing you out. From expirience, this is usually easy to figure out but if you don't know, then you should ask yourself as few questions like... Is there something coming i am scared of or anxious of? or Do i have any sickness or injury hurting me? Basically if you give it a little thought, you can figure out the source of your stress.
2. BE PREPARED
Another way to handle stress is by spotting stress indicators on time. To do this, you always have to prepare and plan for you day and identify potential stress indicators and imagine how you can handle those moments. Life can be very unpredictable, yeah we can't always control that but what you can control is how you react to these situations. Example, you can watch motivational videos when you wake up, if you are scared of speaking in the public later in the day.
3. LISTEN TO MUSIC
Don't ever underestimate the impact of songs we listen to on our mindset and emotions. There are different geners of songs out there so all you have to do is find out what works for you. However, be mindful to avoid slow and love songs if you are suffering from a heartbreak or you just lost someone, instead i suggest Trap. But if you are finding it hard to sleep or concentrate, then be sure to listen to some slow songs as they help keep you relaxed and calm.
4. TALK TO SOMEONE
This is a very very powerful way of handling and relieving stress and this usually prompts the quote "A problem shared is a problem half solved". Be sure to share with someone you trust what you are going through and it's very okay to ask for help when you really need. It could be a friend, a family member, a pastor or better still, a therapist. These people can offer you solutions to your problem from their own personal expiriences or even give you a new perspective on an issue.
5. EAT HEALTHY FOOD
This is definitely not so much of a new trick to handling stress. Remember this quote "An hungry man is an angry man or woman, lol. This might just be your problem cause if your body is weak, your mind is always affected. So endeavour to always eat and not just eat but eat healthy food and not junk. Also remember to drink enough clean water too as your body being dehydrated also affect your body and mood just like food.
6. GET A MASSAGE OR SEX
The reason why you are stressed might be that you always work your body out without even resting. Try to get a good body massage and give yourself a good treat. You might not even need a massage but just a good rest. If your stressed out physically, then i think it's a good idea to take a day off and get a very long sleep even if it's in the afternoon. Studies have shown that Sex is also a very good way to improve your mood and relieve your stress.
7. WATCH A FUNNY MOVIES
Laughter is good for the soul and an easy way to trick yourself into becoming happy. Just head on to Youtube and watch short comedy skits, sports fails or even funny vines and watch how laughing for a while will improve your mood gradually. Seriously, instead of taking drugs, or alcohol, just watch funny videos with a loved one and see how you will forget your troubles for a while. Laughter works like magic.
