And Six years ago, exactly on October 2, 2009, UNESCO has designated Batik as a Humanitarian Heritage for Oral and Nonbendawi Culture (Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity). This makes every October 2nd day commemorated as National Batik Day.
