The other day I saw a photo of myself from the 80s. The hair was bigger. The jeans were tighter. There were shoulder pads involved, I’m afraid. At the time, I thought I looked very "current." We all did.
Now, I look at that version of me and just smile. So many trends have come and gone—styles, diets, buzzwords, fast ways to be happy. But I’m still here. A little rounder, a little softer. Maybe less "on trend," but more myself. Like a housecat lounging in last year’s sunbeam and not caring one bit.
