Two extremes: having nothing to being highly dispersed. Originally I haven't been aware of the problem. I just dumped 50 skills for what I wanted to market myself.
But that is totally wrong as I start thinking about declaring 100 skills.
Happens that one need to be be strategic: Declare only those skills related to what you are searching for, not the ones associated with your past and that bear zero correlation against your objectives.
Here's how I'd approach it:
Hard Skills:
Soft Skills:
Technical Skills:
Knowledge: This could include industry-specific knowledge or theoretical knowledge
Functional Skills: These are skills that can be applied across industries, like customer service, sales, accounting, or human resources.
Industry Skills: These are skills specific to a certain industry, like supply chain management in the logistics industry, or web design in the tech industry.
Remember, there's no one perfect way to organize your skills, but try to group them in a way that makes sense to you and helps highlight your strengths and experiences against search objectives
