Yes, I sponsored some jiu jitsu competitors, and a jiu jitsu tournament under the #steemitbjj banner. It was funded by myself out of pocket. It definitely gave Steem some exposure, but honestly it would need to be bigger money, and the mobile apps just weren’t up to par back then. Now that we have Hive account@partiko and Hive account@appics, I think we can attract a more mainstream audience like that. Demos of Steemit.com and the mobile apps at that time just weren’t good enough that any of those guys kept using the platform.
