Litecoin is known as bitcoin's baby brother and is technically a clone of the original bitcoin. It has hid in the shadow of its big brother since its inception. That may no longer be the case as Litecoin has taken steps to legitimize itself as a crypto that can stand on its own two feet. The implementation of Segwit and the Lightning Network are helping to further Litecoin as a legitimate contender in the cryptocurrency space. Litecoin first caught my eye when it went from $3 to $38 after Segwit was announced. It is now flirting with the $50 level and a break of that could spell much bigger gains soon.
