In a world gone to hell a family sits down to dinner one night. Mother sits, father sits, and their two kids sit at the table to eat their supper. At the table are seated seven people. Three of them are family: Mother, Father and their two kids. The other four people at the table are the two other members of the family that are sitting there with the family: The wife and the cat.
The wife had gotten home late from work that day, much to the annoyance of her husband. The kids were excited because she is not one of them, and she was sitting at the dinner table with them.
The cat was excited too because his mother had picked him up and sat him down at the dinner table. The family was glad to have him there, the only one the family could have. They referred to the cat as their second child, the one their children needed because their first one wasn't working out for them.
The family sat together eating a nice meal that mother prepared; except for the cat. He started crying because he had no food. So father went to his room to retrieve the cat food to put in a bowl for the cat to eat. Father was a busy man and had to do this because the cat was too young to use his mandibles to put the food on his belt. Father knew this because the cat used his mandibles to bite him the day he bought him. When the cat grew out of this phase, his father had the belt removed from the kitty so that he could eat. He placed the cat food on the floor for the cat to eat.
The cat grew up to be a lazy cat, who would never use his mandibles to feed himself. Father decided that the cat shouldn't grow up to be like that. The cat was alone a lot because of the kids, who didn't play with the cat much. So father decided that leaving the cat alone too much wasn't going to be good for the cat. So his father decided that he would play with the cat more often.
Father played a lot of games with the cat so that the cat would grow up to have good mandibles and learn more about the world they lived in. Father knew that all cats had to use their mandibles to feed themselves eventually but he wanted his cat's talents to be more than that. Father wanted his cat, like all cats do, to be able to feed itself by using his mandibles to generate its food.
Father took a trip to the pet store so that he could purchase the cat a toy. He bought the cat a rag and a bow. To play with the cat he went to the park which was the only place besides their house where he could play with his cat.
Father brought his cat to the park which was located in their city which was located on a nice planet with a beautiful orange sky which he enjoyed because it reminded him of home. Father was sorry to move away from home, but was glad that the aliens they were at war with were a good distance away.
At the park, father saw the children. They were having the time of their lives chasing a large stick. Father tried to play hide and seek with the cat and the children's stick, but it was a long and difficult game. So father decided that they would play a new game. The game they were to play was called: "You, Me, and the Stick. You, me and the stick, either way we lose. You and the stick, we lose. Me and the stick, we win."
"I have a better idea," Father said. "Don't you have any other toys? Why don't you bring out those toys you have and we'll play something else."
"I don't have any other toys. The toy I like the most is my rag, and the toy I like the second most is my bow. Those are all the toys I have."
"Well then bring them out here so we can play." Father said.
The children came to the park for the day with their children to play. They didn't know what else to do with their children, so they brought them to the park where they could play on the playground and run around.
The children had a lot of fun together. They ran around freely and they were playing a game together when they saw their father was trying to play hide and seek with the cat. So they let the cat go because they were having too much fun with their game.
The day was going great until it started raining. The children ran to their bunker which was under the swings and the father ran to the entrance of the bunker with the cat in his arms. Once the children and father were off to the bunker, a gust of wind blew the cat away from their father.
"Come back here, kitty!" Father yelled. But the cat was gone. Father looked all around the park, but did not see the cat. He ran all over the park, but found no trace of the cat. Father got back in the bunker and looked around with the children. The children went to look for their cat outside, to no avail. Father told the children that the cat was gone and that they would have to do something else with their day while they looked for their cat. Father told the children that they were his children both his real ones and the ones with real toys. He told the children that he would love them all the same.
