Crystal.
In the silence of the night, Marlon observed the sparkle of those blue eyes, a crystalline light that in the darkness managed to illuminate the whole room.
— What's wrong with me?
— I don't know...
The light grew as Alessh became more and more nervous, more vulnerable, yet he was still there, calm.
— Help me Marlon!
— There is nothing I can do...
— There's always a way!
— It's your destiny...
The surface of the ground began to vibrate, beneath us small stones began to move and various circular cracks began to form around Alessh.
— What's going on, Marlon?
Marlon no longer listened, he only watched the show from afar, taking steps backwards as the room began to transmute into something completely different:
Three concentric circles were present, surrounding the source of that light, of that energy. One by one, the four walls gave shape to a diversity of writings that emitted the same light that flowed from Alessh, ancient words unintelligible to any human being.
— Marlon!
Those words were the last, a flash emitted towards the center of the room as if it were a blast wave, erasing any trace of Alessh's existence, or at least, erasing his existence in human form.
— Sorry Alessh...
The lights were blurring and disappearing in that lost place, Marlon took several steps, careful and slow until the center of the room, there, a tenuous light floated like the flight of a firefly emitting a weak bluish brightness.
— You are part of the whole now...
Marlon took the glass and turned around. Alessh would now be part of something bigger, something more important than his very existence.
His race brought with it the legacy of truth, Terra's last hope.
