Lit Support Life: Vendor Cold Calls.

I get a lot of vendor cold calls. No exaggeration. It has gotten to the point where I screen every call I get, unfortunately.

If I don't recognize your number, I'm not picking up. I think they're on to this, though. Is the telephone number spoofing technology getting more advanced now? I swear, sometimes I pick up the phone because it looks like a number I know. But, nope, it's a cold caller! And, the person on the other end wants to analyze my workflow to see if the product or service they have can benefit me and/or the firm. I know… it sounds great. But, after hearing it a few dozen times only to find out your system is just as good or even better, it gets old.

I'm left to, as politely as I can, let them know I do not need their service. Or, brush them off and ask them to call back because I was in the middle of some time-sensitive project -- then they try to schedule something right then and there! Big mistake -- on my part! Lol!
