For anyone who might be interested, here's a blueprint on how to get started.
https://github.com/livepeer/wiki/wiki/Blueprint:-set-up-a-broadcasting-node-using-Livepeer-and-OBS
Livepeer is a decentralised live-streaming protocol built on the Ethereum Blockchain.
There's an interesting reward system based on tokens (LPT) that allows you as a broadcaster
you actually decide to "bond" or stake LPTs into one transcoder you like
(transcoders work for broadcasters, they process the A/V signal into the various formats plus extra stuff).
This "bonding" is like an endorsement. A stars-rating system if you prefer :)
LPT are yours, and you can withdraw them at anytime.
By endorsing a transcoder, you raise its popularity. The transcoder then shares with you a cut of the "revenues".
And your LPTs grow.
The platform is still growing, the RoE (rules of engagement) of social interaction are slowly forming, hopefully mostly user generated ones. So altogether a quite exciting environment to be in, to start using and observing!
Have Fun!
