As I sit here in the desert of the American Southwest
I dream of livingaboard sailboats.
James Wharram Designs
The first of the Pahis, designed in 1979 after the building of a 35ft prototype, which successfully sailed the 1978 Round Britain Race. The PAHI shape has proven itself in rough weather conditions, in speed potential and ease of motion. At only 31' she is still capable of ocean voyages. Standing headroom is under a large raised hatch.
The beauty of this boat is you can build it yourself or with a group of friends.
So as I sit here and watch the crypto market going to the moon I see now how I can build my dream boat and sail the world. I can share my journey of building the boat here on the steem blockchain and when I start to travel the world I can meet other Steemians and take you for a ride on the boat I built on the Blockchain. This way we can go out wale watching and enjoy some fresh air.
Are you a sailor do you liveaboard your boat? I think Steemit.com and busy.org is a great place to build a sailing community. I would love to see all of the Liveaboard youtubers use steem to connect with there communities. I have seen over the past few years the raise of popularity of people sharing there journey of living aboard a sailboat and using patreon and youtube to build up community of followers living vicariously through there experiance. In those other platforms it cost the person from the community to watch ads or send money to support there favorite sailboat channel. I think steem and perhaps a special Dapp for the sailing and liveaboard life could be really cool. I see so many communities getting together to build there own Dapps and launching coins to support that community.
I have sat here dreaming about this for a long time, making small steps along the way. It is all about timing to have all things fall in place one must have the appreciation of already having it and act from that state of being. This process for me has led me down many different paths that seemed like a dead end at the time and now that time has moved by. I am able to see that they are just like sailing upwind you must tack to stay on course.
and I are getting a Maslow Open Source CNC router
With this machine we can cut all the parts to build the boat. So my idea is to blog about it and earn steem and to take my money and buy crypto instead of the materials right away and as the crypto goes up use it to buy the materials. I am also setting up a mining rig to mine some ETH so I can buy more EOS. If I keep doing this and ride the waves up I can take the money and build a boat over time buying material as I need it and sitting on the crypto instead of a stack of materials. As crypto raises faster than the inflation of plywood I should be able to build the boat for less money spent.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you as we build a boat together.
