Heavily academic and not at all my speed. Way too much mathematics, academic jibber-jabber and similar shortcomings turned me away from this tome faster than a cat caught at a row between women.
Some interesting insights on marginal transport costs and similar book-heavy subjects did end up engraining themselves into my mind - and they're not bad principles to understand - but it's surrounded with so much tripe that I may as well not have bothered.
It would seem that the more fundamental and normative a book is, the more I happen to like it. Perhaps this has nothing to do with the writing chops or knowledge of the author, but rather my personal taste.
In the end, that's what these reviews are. I'd steer clear of this book in the future, and others like it.
