I was invited to be a guest speaker at the Women in Blockchain London talk last week, organized by Lavinia Osbourne.
We were connected on LinkedIn by the lovely , and Lavinia loved what we are aiming to do for Unblocked
, so she invited me to be a guest speaker on her event.
Contrary to what the name suggests, "Women in Blockchain". The events are not at all exclusive to women, but an event where women with different roles and jobs in the Blockchain space are interviewed, with the aim to make the space more relatable and accessible to all, and to break the stereotype (that some may have) that the Blockchain space is a space catered only to men.
I don't tend to support events that target any specific gender, so whilst I would have never seeked out this type of event, I did see the value in it, as I met lots of women there who really appreciated hearing about our insights and experiences of working in the space.
It was a very relaxed atmosphere with people free and encouraged to ask questions whenever needed.
It was a pleasure to be a guest speaker at this event, and I enjoyed meeting lots of new faces there.
Pretty rare to attend a Blockchain event that had a higher female to male ratio, so it was unique just for that ;)
Big thanks to and
who came to support me!
