One of my favourite radio shows is The Life Scientific presented by physicist Jim Al-Khalili. He interviews scientists from all disciplines and reveal what inpires them. I managed to get tickets to a special edition where he was to be interviewed. I only got the tickets confirmed today and the show was this evening. Fortunately it's easy for me to get onto London.
What I hadn't realised before was that it was taking place at the headquarters of the Royal Society.
That's actually Jim on the left. He was on his phone as we walked in and I recognised his voice immediately. I was there with my daughter who loves science too.
We only saw part of the building. We were kept waiting in this grand room lined in marble. There were some of their artifacts on display.
The room where they recorded was less grand, but had lots of big portraits of scientists.
I'm not supposed to publish content of the show, but it was an interesting review of his life in science and entertainment. It will be broadcast next February.
Of you can get it and you like science I can recommend this show. He's interviewed nearly 180 people. I've been to a few radio shows and this was a good one.
Steem on!
