I’m done. I worked my last day after 34 years with the same company and am off to new adventures. It snowed this morning so I went out for a hike with my camera to contemplate my new found freedom. We got a couple of inches of new snow this morning so I put on my gore-Tex, grabbed my camera bag and headed out for a snowy hike.
I just bought a new wide angle 16-35mm F2.8 lens for my SonyA7ii, So this was my first opportunity to try it out. I’m also trying to learn how to shoot in manual mode and use back button focus so this was a day for experimenting. I’m not happy with how blown out my highlights are in these photos so if someone has advice for shooting in snowy conditions, feel free to share.
The last shot had less snow and more rock, so the exposure seems much better, but the composition is less pleasing to me.
