Here's some food for thought. I have lived in Inner City Los Angeles for all of my 18 years. I am considered a minority and have experienced racial prejudice, fortunately it wasn't from the government, or as most others blame, "the white man". I experienced racial prejudice from other minorities. Of course I can only speak from my own experiences, but I'm going to be honest. Welfare and Food Stamps dominate this city and it is sad. On the streets I have heard women talk about having more kids to get more "county checks", and it is sad. My high school was well known in the community to be violent and dangerous, but it really wasn't. Being raised in inner city Los Angeles, I experienced my first shooting at around 8 years of age. It wasn't from someone mentally ill, it was from gang members. Almost all gun related crimes I witnessed have been from gangs. I experienced my first drive by at the age of 10. I have seen a few store robbing and it is sad to see my fellow people resort to violence to be able to "survive". Inner City Los Angeles is riddled with homeless, gangs patrolling the streets, kids fighting in schools. There were plenty of pregnant girls in my high school, and everyone acts like its expected because they're "whores". The government is not responsible for this injustice to the community, it is the community who is responsible. If you read this, thank you, I just want you to know that the politicians of California are going to drive this great state into the dirt. The local governing is trash, the curriculum for school is inadequate and people blame society for holding the gun against their head, when it is they themselves who pull the trigger. Los Angeles, the city of angels; is made of demons.
