It all started as I opened my eyes,
With a loud cry I announced my presence,
And reaching into your loving arms,
I could feel the awesome delight,
Written closely on your weary brow.
Now with tears in my eyes i ask,
Could it have been love,
That i saw written all over you?
After all was said and done,
You took it all upon yourself,
To secure my bleak future,
With your very own blood.
Walking alone now in the rain i ask,
Was that how much passion you had?
It could have been all rosy,
If he had been man enough,
To own up to his wrongs,
And accept us back in his arms,
But with despising will,
He cast us out forever.
Really wish I could turn back the hands of time,
Or was it not with your head that you carried all that,
And with your soft back carried me to safety.
Had you so much love for me,
That you became less important,
And took my place in the hands of death.
Recalling how my smile was your priority,
And your smile my reward for obedience,
I cannot but think,
Was my existence that important,
And my breath so much special,
For you to give it all up just like that.
Now that fate has decided,
Two weeks more till our final goodbyes,
And one more moment till I forever see you in my heart,
I want you to know that,
Just beyond your smile,
Is where my heart beats.
Hello fams! Here is a poem about a mother's undying love and passion for her only child. The sacrifices she made were more of arrows shot to her already weak and broken body. Enjoy.
