This year, I got to attend the first Fem Power Acro festival held in Portland. This was no ordinary festival as this was a females only acro festival, the first of its kind.
There is a misconception that partner acrobatics usually involves a big base and a small flyer. Well, at Fem Power Acro, these stereotypes were pushed aside, as I met so many bad-ass lady bases. It was cool to be a part of an all female group of acrobatics that could lift each other up. We talked about gender identification, relationships and pretty much any topic we could think of.

This experience was amazing because I got to spend it with some of my favorite Sacramento ladies. We road tripped from Sacramento to Portland, and just had a blast.

From this festival, I learned how to not only be a flyer, but a base! Size doesn't matter, when you got a big heart! Here is a video of me as a base!
