As a busy bee, who loves to constantly be on the go, I often forget to relax and have downtime. Not only do I have thousands of activities and projects at all times, but I also love to be in full control of my life. This can lean to overexertion. The result of not listening to your body and mind can lead to exhaustion and burnout.
Here are a couple ways I have found helpful in letting go of control.
#1. Be mindful of your body
We are not robots, and our bodies need rest. When you are tired or exhausted from lack of sleep, youβre body will let you know. You may start yawning, your eyelids get heavy, your body will tell you...all you need to do is listen.
#2. Stop comparing
With social media being such a big part of our lives, it is easy to compare yourself to everyone else, but you must stop! This kind of mindset will leave you exhausted and constantly wanting more.
#3. Take a break
It is important to give yourself time to relax. Stepping away from your daily routine can be hard, but sometimes that is just want you need. Change things up. Life is meant to be filled with all sorts of interesting experiences, and you will come back fresher. This could be taking a break from work to watch up on your favorite episode of Game of Thrones. Or this could be taking a vacation to a foreign country. Switch it up, surprise yourself.
This post is dedicated to my harding working friend :)
Hope you enjoy the tips!
