Some of my favorite experiences in life happen without plan. Two nights ago, I was hanging out at the beach, when I saw a little Thai girl swimming in the ocean. She was just swimming around near a small boat.
She curiously swam up to me. For fun, 
I absolutely fell in love with her, and after playing in the water with her for 3 hours, we left for the night. I couldn't stop thinking about her. I was set on a mission to find out who this adorable child was! I showed a local a picture of the girl, and he said his friend knew her father. It turns out her father was in town to help fix a boat.
The next day, I learned that she would be back at the beach for one more night, as her father had to finish fixing the boat. I was so excited to see her. I bought her some fun water toys that I thought she might enjoy. It was pretty awesome to see her reaction to the presents.
Here she is in her new donut! I even learned her name! Her name is Desdean. Her home was unfortunately, wiped away in the tsunami, and now she lives up in the mountains with her father in government housing. It was really humbling to hear their story. This little girl lost her home, yet she is one of the brightest and happiest people I have ever met!
I think it is amazing how acroyoga is so powerful. It can connect people and bring so much laughter and love into everyone's life. I'm so glad I met Desdean, she truly touched my heart.
