A lot of people are in love with someone, but they treat the one they love like a piece of shit. They behave as though the person can't leave them behind and move on.
If you followed this year's Big Brother Naija show, you'll know Tobi and Cee-C truly loved each other. I can remember Tobi telling her that there will never be a day he will stop being attracted to her or would stop loving her. In his words, he said, "that day will never exist under the sun". But Cee-c was a hard nut to crack. She kept on intimidating Tobi until the subtle Alex made her way into Tobi's life. Cee-c became very jealous and turned very troublesome in the house.
When they left the house, Tobi tried to humiliate Cee-c by openly flirting with Alex. Cee-c on the other hand, denied loving Tobi when she was interviewed. Just recently, as Tobi can no longer pretend, he opened up that he cannot date Alex. Cee-c is still allowing pride stand in her way of getting her lover back. If only Cee-c can apologize for how bad she treated him, Tobi would accept her and love her like he always did. My personal observation though.
In spite of how Cee-c treated Tobi, when she fell sick, he was still the one who stayed up all night to care for her. Whenever Tobi is with her, you could see the chemistry between them. Such never existed between him and Alex. I always knew he was pretending about loving Alex. He only wanted to get back at Cee-c. They really loved each other, but they allowed pride and revenge get in between them.
If you love someone, let the person know. Treat the person right. Even when the person wrongs you, do not opt for a revenge. A lot of people who break up are still very much in love with each other. They allow unreasonable things come between them. They pretend like all is well. They move on to the next partner, but they know they feel empty inside. They wish they could pull down the barrier between them, but most times, the barrier wall would have grown so big that they can't be pulled down anymore. They live with the thoughts of "had I known" and end up their lives in perpetual emptiness.
If you love someone, treat them right. Hold them tight and make sure you never let go. However, be sure the feeling is mutual.
