Let's Get To Know & Appreciate One Another Better
Dear Steemians,
What's LoveIt/ShoveIt?
My Steemian friend tagged me to join an interesting challenge, which gets to know one another better.
Credit goes to who started the scrimmage - and I am enjoying it...
I think it is a fabulous idea.
Globi said this and I like it:
Divisiveness Becomes Tolerance
In a divisive world, setting aside out differences and focusing on constructive solutions rather than destructive arguments can reduce fighting, even in-fighting, it can lower the potential for violence and increase the respect we ought to have for one another. We may hate things people do, but we ought not to hate the person itself. It's a difficult task - and it represents a big challenge in my life.

Love It
Breakfast
Breakfast And Coffee
is one of the best parts of my life. No matter what the day has in store for me, breakfast is what really rings in the new day for me. As a musician I tend to stay up pretty late and rise later than most.
When I was on the road more, and out late after a show, I would usually try to find a 24 hour breakfast place. When I’m at home, my golden rule, if I can’t decide what to have for dinner, is to have breakfast. Again.
Humour
Light humour, dark humour,
witty humour, light hearted banter, sitcom humour, stand up humour. I tend to love most if not all. If someone can still have a sense of humour about life, I think they always go much further in every way. Laugh at least a little! And I love it when people can laugh at themselves a little and join in a bit of teasing!
A Kind, Complete Person
I feel that we are all on a path
to wholeness and I think most people have that in common. We have a desire to improve. Maybe that can take a darker turn in the event that someone wants to become a better, more complete bank robber, but hey, at least they have goals LOL.
Kindness in this life
and in this world seems to be more and more rare. Kindness, to me, goes hand in hand with restraint. Knee jerk reactions, red hot tempers, conclusions jumped to and anything that is the antithesis of kindness is just not for me. I make mistakes like everyone, but a lack of kindness is absolutely not typical of me. I admire many traits about people, but when I see someone react with kindness to an aggressive person it speaks a language that is far different than the bluster and sabre rattling typical of the insecure and immature.
Yes I love things like intelligence, but misused intelligence can be used as a weapon to harshly mock or ridicule people.
A Really Good Animal Love Mauling
I like to get into clothes
I care very little about and go to my friends Steve and Ingrid’s house and totally ruin their dog’s behaviour for a week by letting them get up on me, nibble my fingers give me wet dog kisses and cover me in hair. Sadly for me it’s just hair on hair and makes me look more than ever like a yeti.
Olympics
Don’t really need to elaborate much.
I’ve taken holidays to watch the Olympics for as many hours in a day as my body would let me before face planting into my keyboard.
I also watched Eddie The Eagle soar
in Calgary in 1988 with his wild, arm swinging style that made the crowd breathless as they all waited for him to smash the life out of his undertrained, underfunded body.
My Shove Its
Lack Of Attention For The Paralympics
I love the sponsors and people
who make the Paralympics so special. I wish they received as much attention as the able bodied Olympians, they truly deserve it.
Caustic & Toxic People With Zero Patience
They just have to stick their finger in everyone’s eye.
They are unpleasant, they often hide behind a righteous shield of 'Bringer of Truth.' All they really bring is an infantile world view to an adult party.
They will always have a seat at the kid's table
and will never be able to figure out why even as they throw tantrums to scream at an unfair world.
Don’t even get me going on passive/aggressive people, they suck. Mental warfare is for cowards.
Idiotic Drivers
People who do things only to get a reaction
out of others. People who speed up when you pass. Truck drivers who pull into the fast lane on a superhighway to pass another truck at night when they can clearly see that you are the only set of headlights for two miles behind them. To top it off they like to wait until you’re just about to pass them and cut you off.
People who speed up and slow down
to below the speed limit and then get annoyed when you pass them. I know a lot of people cry about their freedom and love of self determination and how driving makes them feel so independent. Screw that for me. Give me self driving cars in a self driving only lane so I can watch a movie and automatically put my seat in the upright position when I arrive. Any moron that I don’t have to deal with on the highway is a good day for me.
Cruelty Toward Any Living Creature, Human Or Animal
This speaks for itself too.
I’m a pretty peace loving guy overall, but if you want to see me vote for the death penalty this will bring it out. People whose moral compass is broken and have become numb to the cries of pain they cause may be salvageable in some way. Mostly not.
One thing I can’t stand in movies and tv
series is when there has been a huge battle of good against evil and there is a conflict to spare the evil one. It’s so damn monotonous and it’s the same, tired line in different forms decade after decade. If you pull that trigger you’ll be just like him. Fuck that, pull the trigger. The satisfying sound of the hammer sending a bullet through an evil person’s brain is just fine with me.
Don’t mistake my love for kindness as weakness,
or a lack of resolve when it comes to justice. Someone who has completely lost their capacity to care for humans and animals should, at the very least, be separated from society permanently.
Abuse Of Power
Those who get away with
as much as they can as fast as they can when they have been entrusted by people to represent them. Zero use for them. I doubt very much that I’m the only one who is happy when they are thrown from power. The harder the better.
