Today is a good day!
Love has finally triumphed and has finally (way over due) allowed people of the same sex to wed each other.
A beautiful couple became wife and wife a few days ago in the first lesbian equal marriage wedding. Sydney’s south venue held a close ceremony with 65 friends and family.
This new law has created mixed feelings amongs many parties within Australia, however in a staggering 61.7% positive vote the law then came to the next step. As it went through parliament there was controversy and some politicians walked out of the vote.
Now these two beautiful women are able to call each other wife’s! Not only this it means that they can now be legally next of kin for each other. This also means when they have kids they are both legally the child’s mother.
Another beautiful couple a couple days later got married in Melbourne, this a couple of many many more weddings to come!
