Today has been a long day. I arrived at the festival site, late yesterday evening. After setting up camp and make food for me and my girls and my friend and her kids, I was ready for bed.
The photo above is from the drive here. This beautiful lake is just a few minutes walk from the campsite. It is so beautiful and I can't wait to go swimming in it.
I woke early this morning and started to help get the Ship Wreck Stage decorated. (Which you can see above.) It was an empty dome when we started. I was working with 2 women that have been doing this for a very long time.
They had so many, amazing materials to work with. I had so much fun working alongside them and it felt so good to be creative and doing some manual work, up and down the ladder.
What you can see in this photo is the dinning area and punk/funk stage in one. I have eaten in there twice today as the crew get feed and the food was amazing.
I didn't take any photos of the inside yet. Then further along is the dance tent. Where there will be estatic dance each morning and then techno, drum and bass/jungle in the night, till early morning.
Up above is the kids space. Which is super cool. I have taken quite a few photos of this space and I'm going to dedicate a whole post to it as it needs to be seen in detail.
This is a little sneek peak, inside the space I was working on. Green is one of my favourite colours, so I felt right at home. It is still not finished in this shot. I will take more photos tomorrow and share them.
This is tomorrow's schedule, for the Ship Wreck stage. The sign was made by someone amazing folk, who had it waiting for us. They collected the drift wood, from the lakeside yesterday.
I'm pretty exhausted now, so I'm going to sign off. I have a busy day tomorrow, helping to run the stage, plus add a few finishing touches. I know I will sleep well tonight.
