This is my first entry to this contest. This type of cloud formation is common in our area in this part of the Alpujarras in Andalucia, Southern Spain. It reminded me of the movie Independence Day where the Earth was invaded by aliens.
Daily, I observe the beautiful sunrise and sunset as well as such cloud formations because they are so beautiful and inspiring. Cloud formations are due to the whirlwinds in and around the high mountains behind our village..
