According to some scientific research, Mediterranean is going to rise around five feet by the end of this century meaning that popular tourist destination and historic city of Venice could almost entirely disappear.
Artist Lorenzo Quinn made a huge impact to spread this message by creating this amazing sculpture and exhibiting it in the center of the Venice Grand Canal.
The sculpture is named Support and depicts two hands rising from the canal and supporting the building of the Ca’ Sagredo Hotel.
A dual representation of human nature and its power to either preserve the environment by holding this old building in place or totally drag it down by continuing to degrade our ecosystems.
