Ocean
By: Angelica Sanchez
Be one with nature
Be natural, as you were made
Breathing in, like the ocean, retracing its waves
Breathing out, like the waves, crashing on the sand.
Follow that in breathe in, to the depth of the ocean, where it draws the line between the sky
Draw that breath in, to the reflection of the moon
Let the breath, come crashing out, like the waves crashing on the sand.
You are not a stream, this is not a dream, you are the ocean
70% water and 30% matter
Like the earth below your feet.
A vessel, like your body
Where the spirit comes to be
Breathing in, like the ocean, retracing its waves
Breathing out, like the waves, crashing on the sand.
Follow that in breathe in, to the depth of the ocean, where it draws the line between the sky
Draw that breath in, to the reflection of the moon
Let the breath, come crashing out, like the waves crashing on the sand.
You are great like the ocean
free and contained, sitting on it’s outer shell
Our skin the outer veil
The universe inside our skin
We are our higher selves.
