Maasai Community is by far one of the most oppressive culture in Kenya. Women have if rough. They do nearly everything in their homesteads. From building houses, taking care of children, being bread winners, fetching water and or firewood to giving birth to countless children.
If that is not strength I don't know what is. It was rather interesting to get first hand information feom these wonderful ladies at the entrance of #maasaimara and having the opportunity to learn more about their culture.
The saddest part though was, besides not being educated, women are still viewed as a man's property to do with as he pleases. Did you know a maasai woman cannot remarried in the event her husband dies? In the event this happens, she's passed on to one of his late husbands brother as a wife and continues to sire children among other wifely duties...
