Here is my entry for day 2 (or 3 not sure about time exactly).
Echinacea or Purple Coneflower. These are mesmerizing at close-up range! I like the patterns in the spiral sequence radiating from the center of the flower. The petals are a nice backrop to the fiery center of this flower. This flower is also more than beautiful, it is medicinal! You can make a tea from the dried flowers and/or prepare them in such a way to take as medicine. It is said that Echinacea will strengthen the immune system. My Grandfather used to swear by this herb/flower! He was very healthy.
